Sabbatical Bios column
As President, my job is to work with the University on issues and act as a voice for students. I chair the Students' Union/Senior Leadership Team meeting between the SU and the University, where we discuss key issues arising each month. I also work with the Leader of Senate to prepare the agenda for Senate meetings. Sports and Societies are also within my remit, which means I oversee the development of this area. I don't see myself as the head of the Sabbatical team, we all work together to make sure you get the best out of your time at YSJ.

As Vice President Education, I support you on issues with your course. I lead the Programme Rep system, supporting you to make changes on your courses. I represent you in university faculty meetings, with Deans and Deputy Deans. I support you on Academic Appeals. I also work quite closely with Information & Learning Services to ensure your library is great. I am also an expert in the YSJSU constitution, have won numerous awards, and am an all round Higher Education geek and proud of it!

As Vice President Welfare & Diversity, it is my job to look out for you and make sure the university are including everyone in as many areas as possible. I also hold events to raise awareness of minority groups including black, women's, LGBT, and disabled students. If you would like to join any of the campaigns please let me know.
