The York St John Netball Club is one of the biggest female clubs at the University. We are always looking for new members and paramount for us, we are an openly accessible club. Any skill or ability is welcome. Not only this but you don’t have to play netball, you can be a social member and participate in all the off court activities. This year we have recruited a community netball coach who will run training and offer good quality coaching and player development to our players hopefully resulting in a year of successes across all four teams.
The social side of the club is a very important part, we hold regular socials and charity events for our signature charity Breast Cancer Awareness. Alongside this to end the year on a high we also have a netball tour abroad to Spain, it’s a great way to bond and let our hair down after a hard year.
Being a member of a club sets you up to make friends for life and the netball club does just that. For any more information contact me (Becky Scott) your club captain.
