Woodlands Respite Care Centre - Woodlands exists to provide high quality care for people affected by Multiple Sclerosis in a warm, friendly, and caring environment. There are an extensive number of volunteering opportunities on offer such as pastoral care, helping in the Snoezlen room, projects, fundraising and so much more. Chilldren’s Society – PACT Reaching Out project
This is an exciting new volunteering opportunity for any student who would like to work with disabled young people, supporting them in the workplace. We ask for a minimum of 4 months commitment and there is a recruitment procedure that can take 2-3 months including a CRB check. In return you will get Children’s Society training to help you gain a better understanding of issues faced by disabled young people, the opportunity to gain a V award, according to how many hours you volunteer, plus a rewarding and meaningful placement with an enhancement for your CV.
