Volleyball
Although volleyball is a relatively new club, its achievements are amazing. In 2007 we won the ‘most improved team’ award and at the 2008 awards we were nominated for ‘club of the year’. The club has entered a team on tour in Barcelona two years running, and won both events. Training occurs once a week with socials on a regular basis. We welcome all ages and abilities including those who just wish to be social members. The club is very active in the students union and have hosted a variety of charity events over past years including ‘Rave and Raise’ and ‘Pub Hunt’. In 2009 we pushed the team further than BUCS and played in the Hull & East Yorkshire Volleyball Jubilee Cup as well as becoming affiliated with Volleyball England and attending their tournaments.
