Medical Practices
The University has it's own Medical Practice on campus which is situated in G Block by the Campus Halls of Residence.
The GP is available from 8.30am to 11am Monday to Friday and for two afternoon slots (which vary) 2.30pm to 4.30pm. The Practice Nurse is available daily 2.30pm to 4.30pm with morning drop in sessions taking place between 9am and 12pm Wednesday and Thursday.
The University also has a surgery at the Monkgate Health Centre which is approximately two minutes walk from the University campus. Clinic hours open from 8.30am Monday to Friday. There is also a walk in NHS centre which is a drop in service run by nurses for advice and assistance with no appointment necessary. The centre is open 7am to 10pm seven days a week.
In an Emergency after 6pm, or at Bank holidays and weekends, please telephone 01904 342989 day or night. You will then be given the number for the appropriate medical centre to ring.
If you need a home visit, please let the medical centre staff know as early as possible in the morning. A doctor may phone you back to discuss the problem. Please remember that home visits are strictly for patients to ill to attend the surgery.
