What is a SPARK Scholarship?
In addition to the financial bursaries that are available to York St John students you can also apply for SPARK Scholarships. SPARK stands for Securing Potential and Releasing Knowledge. The funds for this scheme are raised by voluntary donations from our alumni, staff, governors and students. This enables the University to offer a number of Scholarships of £1500 paid in three £500 annual awards. Students can apply for these in addition to any other support they receive and they do not affect entitlement to other forms of financial aid.
If you would like to apply for a SPARK Scholarship please read the information given below carefully and place your application in a sealed envelope in the box on the Student Advice desk in Holgate by Friday 13th November 2009. If you want to volunteer to help raise funds for SPARK please contact Kirsten Thompson at student services on k.thompson@yorksj.ac.uk
