The Students' Union at York St John is student owned, student run and student led.
York St John Students' Union (YSJSU) is the Students' Union for York St John University. It is run as a completely separate entity to the University itself. It is run by students for students. There is a Executive Committee which consists of your 3 full time Sabbatical Officers who are advised by the General Manager. Union Council is the governing body of YSJSU and meets every month to make sure the Union is working for you.
Students elect the 3 full time Sabbs and the part time Union Councillors to run the students' union with the assistance and support of the permanent staff members. All staff members report to the General Manager who in turn reports to the Sabbs. The Sabbs are held to account by the Union Council who in turn are responsible to YOU: the students of York St John University.
